Painting differs in insignificant ways from printmaking. Painting offers the artist a medium that is immediate and responsive, where printmaking demands more careful planning in advance. There is only one original painting; by contrast each hand-printed woodcut or etching is an original in a numbered edition. Fine art reproductions are available of these paintings.
